A dozer pushes vegetation, topsoil and root mass into piles that then have to be burned or hauled off, and it leaves disturbed, erosion-prone ground. Forestry mulching grinds standing brush in place and leaves a mulch mat that holds soil, suppresses regrowth and breaks down over time.
Will the trees I want to keep survive?
Yes — mulching is selective. We work around the hardwoods, shade trees and views you want to keep and take out only what you point out.
Does the mulch have to be removed?
No. The mulch layer is left on the ground where it protects soil from erosion, holds moisture and decomposes into the site over the following seasons.
